Update from the Swim Parents (3/7/23)
Murrysville Swim Club is part of the ESA (Eastern Swim Association) for competitive summer swim. We are finalizing details on the summer meet schedule and are awaiting some basic guidelines for the meets. More information to come!
For those who may be new to summer swim team, the MSC Swim Team consists of 9 weeks of swim instruction focused on friendly competition, team spirit and lots of fun! The swim team signup fee enables your swimmer(s) to participate in practices, team meets, individual meets, as well as many other fun activities this summer. We are looking forward to the annual Pancake Breakfast, pizza nights, and an end of the season party to name a few! Summer swimming is a special opportunity for kids to create friendships and memories that can last a lifetime. We encourage all new eligible swimmers to join the team, and look forward to seeing our returning swimmers back in the water!
Coaches
We are pleased to welcome back Mark Spinola for a ninth season as head coach! This year we have new assistant coaches Seth Spinola and Lyndie Lingg! They are former MSC swimmers and are excited to help coach this season! Check out the Coaches page for more information on them!
Committee chairs
We will be looking for some dedicated committee chairs for this summer season. Please take note of the chair positions available during registration. Your help is very much appreciated!

- New swimmers must be able to pass a deep water swim test by the first practice.
- We are offering a team suit this year to those who would like to purchase them. The suit sale is scheduled June 1st, during evening practice times.
- The calendar with meet dates and practice times will be available online closer to the start of our season . Evening practices will be held May 30th-June 1st. Morning practices will begin June 5th.
- Dual meets against neighboring clubs (home/away) will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings – NO swim meets the week of July 4th.
- Parent Meeting will occur the first night of practice. We will have an opportunity for parents to learn how to be involved during the meets as timers and stroke judges.

Registration
Swimmer registrations will be completed online at murrysville.swimtopia.com. We will be accepting registrations from May 1st – June 1st. It is important to register within this timeframe so that your swimmer receives a team shirt! After June 1st, a late fee will be assessed and a team shirt is not guaranteed.
Registration fees:
- First swimmer = $97.00
- Additional swimmer/s = $77.00 for each online registration, which will include volunteer registration, fees, and insurance information, must be completed before swimmers can participate. Each family will need to fulfill a minimum amount of volunteer hours. Volunteer jobs will be filled during online registration on a first come, first served basis. Please check murrysville.swimtopia.com before registration and click on the “Team” tab to view Frequently Asked Questions (2023 FAQ) for important information regarding the season. There is a $3 Swimtopia registration fee per swimmer.
Many parents like to have team apparel to wear at meets. During the registration process, you will have the opportunity to order the team shirt for yourself as well.
